COMMUNITY GROUPS
A PLACE TO BELONG
Being in a city of 8 million people doesn’t cure loneliness. Neither does attending a church service. We all need for a relational home.
A community group is a place to overcome the anonymity of the big city. It’s a place to develop relational buy-in, safety, and continuity.
When we say our mission is to connect people with God and each other, community groups are a big part of what we have in mind.
A PLACE TO GROW
We believe God often gives us the care and growth we need through other people. To facilitate this, a community groups is a small circle of 3-9 men or women who meet a few times per month.
Each person reflects on these three questions:
Spiritual Engagement: Have I led myself toward God this week?
Confession: Have I led myself away from God this week?
Mission: Have I led someone else toward God this week?
Others in the group then provide encouragement and response, and it moves on to the next person in the circle.
A PLACE TO COMMIT
We’ve linked community group and church membership for one simple reason: commitment builds trust, and without trust, no relationships can thrive.
If you’re looking for a “no commitment required” kind of space, see our Sunday gatherings and Bible studies.
But if you’re wanting to lock arms and dive deep with a few people this year, community group is where to do it.
